Frontline PCB Solutions announces the release of version 9.5 of its Genesis 2000 CAM system on July 27, 2009
Genesis 9.5 delivers new and enhanced editing tools to make job data verification more secure. The new release also offers new options for input translation, analysis and DFM tools and continues to boost yields and cut cycle time. New netlist optimization functionality enables early-stage electrical netlist testing.
New features in this version include:
Critical via checks analysis identifies critical vias and creates marks on a separate mark layer for each critical via.
Subassembly netlist optimization creates and outputs an optimized netlist for a layer subassembly allowing the electrical testing of layers during the production cycle.
New plating mask checks check plating mask clearances versus copper and report problems in spacing and annular rings.
Offset pad edges enables the asymmetrical enlargement of rectangular pads, mainly for stretching gold tabs close to the edge of the board.
Standard fill patterns create fill patterns with standard hatch and cross-hatch patterns.
Convert any feature to laser drill pattern.
Extend/shorten slot length.
Mark power/ground nets to support capacitance testing on flying probe testers.
Major improvements in copper area calculation, solder mask checks, silk screen checks, netlist analysis, print layer, input, feature filter, and other editor functions.
Genesis 9.5 is a licensed version and is available for all customers with a valid service contract.
